Just want an answer? Pick for me — no questions

morsels45

You’re hungry.
You don’t know what you want.
That’s what I’m for.

A few easy either-ors — sweet or savoury, hot or cold. Then one answer, with the recipe behind it. Close but not quite? Point me lighter, spicier, sooner, and I answer again that way.

No account needed to start. A free account adds the meal planner and one TV group and one radio group a day to cook and eat to. Premium is the rest of the hub, including every TV and radio group.

Five questions. One answer.

A short version of the real thing — five of its questions over 24 of its 450 dishes. Nothing is saved and there is nothing to fill in.

Question 1 of 5

24 dishes still in play.

Sweet or savoury?

Why this works

You are not indecisive. It is a badly asked question.

“What do you want to eat?” is an open question with hundreds of right answers, asked at the hour of the day when you have the least left to think with. Nobody is good at those. Ask the same person a closed one — hot or cold, now or later — and they answer in half a second and they are never wrong, because there are no wrong ones.

So this does not ask you the hard question. It asks you eight easy ones and does the hard part itself.

What it’s for

Your food hub: decide what to eat, plan the week, shop for it, cook it hands-free, and keep up with food news, TV and radio — all built around what you do and do not eat.

You never have to know what you want

A few either-ors, no wrong answers, one dish at the end of it — and if it is close but not right, you point. Lighter. Spicier. Sooner. It answers again in that direction instead of starting over. Knowing which way to lean is easy; knowing what you want is the hard thing nobody can do on an empty stomach.

It remembers what you don’t eat

Halal, kosher, vegetarian, vegan, an allergy, or the one ingredient you cannot stand. Told once, applied to every decision, every mode and every list — free on every profile, and free for good. It lives in the browser you play in; a new device starts fresh.

It gets you fed

An answer is not dinner. There is a recipe behind every dish, a shopping list you can take to the shop, a cook mode that walks you through it, and somewhere near you that serves it if you would rather not cook.

How it works

Three beats. Dinner.

  1. 01

    Answer either-ors

There are no wrong ones. Skip with "either" if you honestly do not mind. The catalogue shrinks as you go and you can watch it happen.

  2. 02

    Get one answer

One dish — not a shortlist of nine, which is the problem you came here with.

  3. 03

Point it, if it is close

Lighter. Spicier. Sooner. It answers again in that direction instead of starting over — then hands you the recipe, the shopping list, or somewhere nearby that serves it.

The full walkthrough

When the questions are not the mood

Six other ways to decide.

Same catalogue, same rules, same one answer at the end — a different road to it. All six are Premium; the questions are free and always will be.

This or that

One champion, endless challengers. Winner stays on until something knocks it off.

Knockout

8 dishes enter a bracket. Round of 8, semifinal, final. One walks out dinner.

Blitz

Thirty seconds, and rounds that keep changing the rules. However many picks you get through is the score.

Shortlist

Eight dishes from what you like. One of them lands. No questions.

Together

Up to six of you, one phone. Five either-ors each, then one dish the whole table can live with.

Swipe

One dish at a time. Right for yes, left for no — and every no sharpens what comes next.

Smash

A wall of dishes and a ball. Smash what you do not want; what is left is dinner.

Drop Zone

Drop balls down a pegboard into dishes and nudge them on the way.

Slice

Dishes fly across the screen. Swipe the ones you want, let the rest go.

Dish Derby

Eight dishes race. Cheer your favourite, sabotage the rest, reroll the field if you do not fancy it.

Free, account and Premium

Free decides. An account plans. Premium does the rest.

Deciding is free. Every dish, every recipe, and everything you do not eat — free, permanently, with no account and no card. Premium is the part that keeps up with you. A free account adds the meal calendar and its AI, and one TV group and one radio group a day to cook and eat to. Premium adds every TV and radio group, the shopping list, nutrition and budget, the dinner-party planner, your own recipes and recipes from websites, the food scanner, the fridge photo, hands-free cooking, the daily briefing and the shared browser.

Premium

  • Your week, sorted. Plan the week in the calendar — that part is free with an account — and Premium turns it into one shopping list merged and sorted by aisle, a nutrition count against your own targets, and a budget with cheaper swaps for the priciest nights.
  • A smarter kitchen. Your family recipes on every device — copied from a photo of the card, even handwriting. Any recipe from a website without the life story. Scan food and see in plain words how healthy it is. Dinner from a photo of the fridge. Cook mode that reads the steps aloud.
  • Cooking for more than you. A dinner-party menu every guest can eat, with a timeline that works back from when you sit down. A real browser two of you drive at once — to order, shop or cook along. And it remembers what you like, so it stops offering the same thing twice.
