Fattoush

Sharp, herby, and full of the fried bread that makes it worth it.

That was somebody else’s answer. Yours takes about twenty seconds: a handful of either-ors, then one dish.

How to make fattoush

One way to do it. The same ones the app hands you once you have decided.

Sharp, herby, and the bread matters

20 minutes Β· serves 4 Β· Very easy

What you need

  • 2 pittas
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 baby gem
  • 4 radishes
  • Handful of mint and parsley
  • 1 tbsp sumac
  • 1 lemon
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp pomegranate molasses

What you do

  1. 1Tear the pitta and fry or bake it until properly crisp. Soft bread makes it a wet salad.
  2. 2Chop everything roughly and about the same size.
  3. 3Dress with lemon, oil, sumac and pomegranate molasses. Taste β€” it should be sharper than you expect.
  4. 4Add the bread at the very last moment, at the table if you can.
