Yes, still. It is still good.

That was somebody else’s answer. Yours takes about twenty seconds: a handful of either-ors, then one dish.

How to make avocado toast

2 genuinely different takes β€” a classic, and a faster or lighter route. The same ones the app hands you once you have decided.

Done with some care

7 minutes Β· serves 1 Β· Very easy

What you need

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 2 slices good bread
  • Lemon
  • Chilli flakes
  • Flaky salt
  • Olive oil

What you do

  1. 1Toast the bread hard β€” it has to hold up under the weight.
  2. 2Fork the avocado roughly in a bowl with lemon and salt. Never spread it straight onto the toast.
  3. 3Pile it on, keeping the texture.
  4. 4Olive oil, chilli, and more salt than you think.

With a soft egg

12 minutes Β· serves 1 Β· Easy

What you need

  • 1 avocado
  • 2 slices bread
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • Dukkah
  • Chilli flakes
  • Lemon

What you do

  1. 1Bring a small pan of water to a bare simmer with a splash of vinegar.
  2. 2Stir a whirlpool, drop the egg into the middle, cook 3 minutes.
  3. 3Meanwhile fork the avocado with lemon and salt onto toast.
  4. 4Lift the egg out with a slotted spoon, drain on paper, then set it on top and break it open.
