That was somebody else’s answer. Yours takes about twenty seconds: a handful of either-ors, then one dish.

Free, no sign-up, and an answer in about twenty seconds.

How to make feijoada

One way to do it. The same ones the app hands you once you have decided.

Beans and everything else

180 minutes · serves 6 · Medium

What you need

  • 500g black beans
  • 300g smoked pork
  • 200g chorizo
  • 200g beef
  • 2 onions
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 oranges
  • Rice and greens to serve

What you do

  1. 1Soak the beans overnight. Salted meats too, if they are very salty — change the water twice.
  2. 2Simmer the beans with bay for an hour before anything else joins them.
  3. 3Brown the meats, soften onion and garlic, then everything into the bean pot.
  4. 4Two more hours on the lowest heat. It is done when the broth is dark and thick without any flour.
  5. 5Mash a ladle of beans against the side and stir back in to thicken.
  6. 6Orange slices alongside. They cut through it, and that is not optional.
