That was somebody else’s answer. Yours takes about twenty seconds: a handful of either-ors, then one dish.

How to make lasagna

One way to do it. The same ones the app hands you once you have decided.

Worth a Sunday

150 minutes · serves 6 · Medium

What you need

  • 1 batch of ragù (see bolognese)
  • 50g butter
  • 50g flour
  • 700ml milk
  • Nutmeg
  • 150g parmesan
  • Lasagne sheets

What you do

  1. 1Make the ragù first, and make it thicker than you would for pasta.
  2. 2For the béchamel: butter, flour, cook 2 minutes, then milk in stages, whisking. Grate in nutmeg.
  3. 3Layer: ragù, sheets, béchamel, parmesan. Repeat. Finish with béchamel and cheese on top.
  4. 4Bake 180C for 40 minutes until blistered.
  5. 5Rest 20 minutes before cutting or it slides apart on the plate.
