That was somebody else’s answer. Yours takes about twenty seconds: a handful of either-ors, then one dish.

How to make provoleta

2 genuinely different takes β€” a classic, and a faster or lighter route. The same ones the app hands you once you have decided.

In a small iron pan

12 minutes Β· serves 4 Β· Very easy

What you need

  • 1 thick round of provolone (about 2cm)
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp chilli flakes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Bread, to serve

What you do

  1. 1Leave the cheese out of the fridge for an hour and pat the surface dry.
  2. 2Get a small heavy pan hot with a film of oil. Lay the cheese in.
  3. 3Three minutes without touching it, until a crust forms underneath and the top starts sweating.
  4. 4Flip carefully with a fish slice, oregano and chilli on top, 2 minutes more.
  5. 5To the table in the pan. It has about three minutes before it sets again, so bring the bread first.

Under the grill

10 minutes Β· serves 3 Β· Very easy

  • Provolone round
  • Oregano
  • Chilli flakes
  • Olive oil

What you do
